What is L-tyrosine?
- L-Tyrosine is an amino acid naturally found in protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, and legumes. Our Green Naturals® L-Tyrosine is obtained from cassava glucose through natural fermentation and is present in a free, highly pure form.
- As a precursor for important neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and adrenaline, and as a component of the skin pigment melanin, L-tyrosine plays a versatile role in the body. Many people therefore consciously integrate L-tyrosine capsules into their dietary routine1.
Biochemical Function & Mechanism of Action
- L-tyrosine serves as a precursor for important neurotransmitters in the body: It is converted into L-DOPA, the precursor to dopamine1.
- Each capsule provides 700 mg of pure L-tyrosine in free form - meaning it is already present as a single amino acid and can be directly absorbed. The recommended dosage is 1-2 capsules daily (700-1,400 mg), typically in the morning or between meals.
- Taking it between meals is advisable, as other amino acids from food can affect absorption. Therefore, take L-tyrosine with sufficient liquid and some time apart from protein-rich meals.
Premium quality from Germany
- Green Naturals® L-Tyrosine is obtained from cassava glucose (manioc) through natural fermentation – a sustainable and vegan production method. The free, crystalline form allows for optimal bioavailability without prior digestion.
- Each batch is tested in Germany for purity, heavy metals, and microbiological quality. We deliberately avoid magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, and other unnecessary additives. 180 capsules for 3 months of conscious nutrition.
