Was ist Vitamin D3?

Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) ist ein Secosteroid und strukturell näher an einem Hormon als an einem klassischen Vitamin. Der Körper bildet es in der Haut aus 7-Dehydrocholesterin unter UV-B-Strahlung und aktiviert es in Leber und Niere in zwei Schritten.

Kann ich dieses Produkt dauerhaft einnehmen?

Ja. Das Präparat ist für eine langfristige Einnahme geeignet.

Wie wirkt Vitamin D?

Vitamin D trägt zu einer normalen Aufnahme und Verwertung von Calcium und Phosphor bei, zur Erhaltung normaler Knochen und Zähne, zu einer normalen Muskelfunktion und zur normalen Funktion des Immunsystems.

Was bedeutet liposomal bei Vitamin D?

Das Cholecalciferol ist in eine Matrix aus Sonnenblumenlecithin eingebettet. Vitamin D ist allerdings bereits von Natur aus fettlöslich - ein Vorteil gegenüber einer Öleinbettung ist damit nicht automatisch belegt.

Warum ist Vitamin D im Winter ein Thema?

In unseren Breiten reicht die UV-B-Intensität zwischen Oktober und März nicht aus, um die Eigenproduktion in der Haut aufrechtzuerhalten.

Wer sollte Vitamin D nicht einnehmen?

Personen mit erhöhtem Calciumspiegel in Blut oder Urin, Nierensteinen, schwerer Niereninsuffizienz oder Sarkoidose. Ebenso Schwangere und Stillende ohne ärztliche Anweisung sowie Kinder und Jugendliche. Bei Digitalisglykosiden oder Thiaziddiuretika ist ärztliche Rücksprache erforderlich.

Sind die Inhaltsstoffe natürlich?

Ja. Das Vitamin D3 wird aus Lanolin gewonnen, die Liposomen aus Sonnenblumenlecithin - beides natürliche Ausgangsstoffe.

Kann man die Kapsel auch öffnen?

Ja, das ist problemlos möglich. Sie können die Kapsel öffnen und den Inhalt zum Beispiel in Wasser, Saft oder einen Joghurt geben, wenn Ihnen das Schlucken unangenehm ist.

Hat Vitamin D3 Nebenwirkungen?

Bei Einhaltung der angegebenen Tagesdosis ist Vitamin D3 im Normalfall sehr gut verträglich. Weil dieses Produkt mit 114 µg deutlich über der üblichen Tagesempfehlung liegt, sollten Sie weitere Vitamin-D-Präparate berücksichtigen und die Dosis nicht überschreiten. Bei Erkrankungen des Calciumstoffwechsels, der Nieren oder bei Sarkoidose vorab ärztlich abklären.
